The LX4FL030 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys range, designed for FK-series contactors. It operates on a 30 V DC control circuit with low-consumption DC coil technology. The opening time is 40 to 50 ms and the closing time is 60 to 70 ms, which sets the switching cadence for the contactor it drives.
Control voltage limits and coil design
This coil has no built-in suppressor module, so you'll need to add external flyback suppression — a standard diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals — to protect the control circuit from the inductive kick when the coil de-energizes. The drop-out threshold is 0.2 to 0.35 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C), meaning the contactor drops out reliably between 6 and 10.5 V DC. The operational range is 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at the same temperature, so it needs at least 25.5 V DC at the coil terminals to pull in and stay sealed. Ambient operating temperature spans -5 to 55 °C (23 to 131 °F).
