The coil ships without a built-in suppressor module, so you will need to add an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals to protect the control circuit from the inductive kick when the coil de-energizes. The control voltage limits are specified: drop-out occurs at 0.2...0.35 Uc (about 6.6...11.6 V DC) at 131 °F (55 °C), and the operational range is 0.85...1.1 Uc (about 28...36.3 V DC) at the same temperature. Ambient operating temperature is -5...55 °C (23...131 °F).
What to watch for when specifying
Because the coil lacks a built-in suppressor, the panel builder or maintenance team must fit an external suppression device (typically a diode for DC coils) across the coil terminals. Without it, the inductive voltage spike can damage the PLC output or relay driving the coil. The 33 V DC control voltage is non-standard compared to the more common 24 V DC coils in the TeSys range. Verify that your control transformer or DC power supply delivers at least 28 V DC at the coil under load to stay within the operational range.
