The LX4FL065 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys range, built for DC low-consumption control circuits. It is the FK-type coil that mates with the corresponding TeSys contactor frame — the part you order when the original coil on a 65 V DC line has failed or you are stocking a spare for a critical motor starter. The 65 V DC control voltage is the key fit parameter: if your panel runs a 65 V DC control bus, this coil drops straight in. Operating time is 40 to 50 ms on opening and 60 to 70 ms on closing, which is typical for a DC-operated contactor coil in this frame size. The coil ships without a built-in suppressor module, so you will need to add an external flyback diode or RC snubber across the coil terminals if your circuit does not already include one — standard practice for DC coils to protect the control contacts from inductive kickback.
Control voltage limits and temperature range
The coil holds in reliably between 0.85 and 1.1 times Uc at 131 °F (55 °C), so for a 65 V DC nominal supply it will pick and seal from about 55 V up to 71.5 V. Drop-out occurs between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc — roughly 13 to 23 V DC — meaning a significant brownout is needed before the contactor drops out. Ambient operating temperature spans -5 to 55 °C (23 to 131 °F), which covers most indoor panel environments but not extended high-heat zones near furnaces or ovens without derating.
Integration note
The LX4FL coil mounts directly onto the TeSys contactor magnet assembly — no adapter plate, no wiring harness modification needed if the existing contactor frame is the same series. Verify the contactor body part number against the TeSys compatibility table before ordering; the FK coil designation narrows it to the specific frame size. Single unit per package, so order the quantity you need for the number of contactors you are servicing.
