The Schneider Electric LX4FL090 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys range, designed to drive the FK-series contactor armature. It operates on a 90 V DC control circuit with low-consumption DC coil technology and no built-in suppressor module — so if your existing circuit relied on a free-wheel diode or RC snubber at the coil terminals, that external suppression must be retained or added per the panel schematic. Opening time is 40 to 50 ms; closing time is 60 to 70 ms. Those figures matter when you're coordinating contactor timing in a motor starter or reversing circuit — the coil's mechanical travel sets the minimum interval before the auxiliary contacts change state.
Control voltage limits and dropout behaviour
The coil is rated for a control circuit voltage of 90 V DC, with an operational range of 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C). Dropout occurs between 0.2 and 0.35 Uc at the same temperature. That means the contactor will hold in down to about 76.5 V DC and will reliably drop out below about 31.5 V DC — important for brownout ride-through or for verifying that a low-voltage condition actually opens the power contacts. Ambient operating temperature is -5 to 55 °C (23 to 131 °F). If the panel ambient runs higher, the coil's thermal rise plus ambient may shift the dropout point; per the datasheet, the limits are stated at 55 °C, so derating above that is not covered by these figures.
