Coil Specifications and Fit
The LX4FL375: This is a 375 V DC control coil for the TeSys F contactor range. The control circuit is DC low consumption type, drawing 1600 W inrush and holding at 9 W at 20 °C. The coil has an average inrush resistance of 152 Ohm and a holding resistance of 23120 Ohm. The control circuit voltage limits are critical for reliable operation: drop-out occurs at 0.2 to 0.35 Uc (75 to 131 V DC) at 55 °C, and the operational range is 0.85 to 1.1 Uc (319 to 413 V DC) at 55 °C. Ensure your control supply stays within these bounds to avoid nuisance drop-out or coil damage. The coil is supplied without a built-in suppressor module. For DC switching, you must add an external flyback diode or varistor across the coil terminals to protect the control circuit from inductive kickback. The inductance of the closed circuit is 2910 H.
Operating Characteristics
Operating time is 40 to 50 ms for opening and 60 to 70 ms for closing. Maximum operating rate is 1200 cycles per hour at 55 °C. The ambient air temperature range for operation is -5 to 55 °C. This covers most indoor industrial panel environments but not extended cold storage or high-heat applications near furnaces.
