Product details

The LX4FX375 is a replacement contactor coil from the TeSys F range, designed to fit TeSys F contactor frames. It operates on a 375 V DC control circuit with low-consumption DC coil technology — no built-in suppressor module, so you'll need to add external suppression if the application demands it. Opening time runs 100 to 130 ms; closing is faster at 70 to 80 ms. That's typical for a DC coil of this size — the slower opening is inherent to the magnetic circuit discharging through the coil inductance (0.26 H closed circuit).

The 375 V DC control voltage has an operational range of 0.85 to 1.1 Uc at 131 °F (55 °C), meaning the coil will pick up reliably between roughly 319 V and 412 V DC. Drop-out occurs between 0.2 and 0.4 Uc — so it releases somewhere around 75 to 150 V DC. That wide dropout band is normal for DC coils; it prevents chatter on a sagging supply but means the contactor won't drop out until the voltage is well below nominal. Inrush power hits 2000 W at 68 °F (20 °C) during the pick-up transient, then settles to 42 W hold-in power once the magnetic circuit is sealed. That's a 48:1 ratio — the coil driver must handle the initial surge without browning out the control transformer. The inductance of the closed circuit is 0.26 H, which governs the current decay time when de-energizing. Rated for 5 Mcycles mechanical durability and a maximum operating rate of 600 cycles per hour at 131 °F (55 °C). Ambient temperature range is 23 to 131 °F (-5 to 55 °C) for operation. If your panel runs hotter than that, you'll need to derate the operating rate or add forced cooling.

Supplied as a set of 2 coils per package, single unit per order quantity. The device short name is LX4FX; the full order code is LX4FX375.

Frequently asked questions

What is the control voltage and what are the pick-up/drop-out limits?

The control voltage is 375 V DC. Pick-up range is 0.85 to 1.1 Uc (approximately 319 to 412 V DC) at 131 °F (55 °C). Drop-out occurs between 0.2 and 0.4 Uc (approximately 75 to 150 V DC).

Does this coil include a built-in suppressor module?

No, the LX4FX375 is specified as 'without built-in suppressor module'. You will need to add an external suppression circuit (e.g., a free-wheeling diode or varistor) if the application requires transient suppression.

What is the mechanical durability and maximum operating rate?

Mechanical durability is rated at 5 million cycles. Maximum operating rate is 600 cycles per hour at 131 °F (55 °C).
