The TeSys LXD3J5 is a contactor coil from the TeSys Deca range, designed to operate a 40-65 A contactor on a 12 V AC 50 Hz control circuit. It draws 160 VA inrush at 50 Hz and holds at 15 VA, with heat dissipation of 4-5 W.
Coil voltage and control circuit notes
The coil is wound for 12 V AC 50 Hz only. Drop-out occurs between 0.3 and 0.6 Uc; operational range is 0.8-1.1 Uc at 50 Hz. No built-in suppressor module is fitted, so if the control circuit includes inductive loads (pilot lights, relays, PLC outputs), plan an external RC snubber or free-wheel diode across the coil to protect the switching element.
Mechanical and thermal limits
Rated for 6 Mcycles mechanical endurance, this coil suits frequent cycling applications like conveyor diverters or packaging line indexing. Ambient operating temperature spans -5 to 60 °C. The closed-circuit inductance is 0.03 H, and average coil resistance is 0.49 Ohm at 20 °C — useful numbers for verifying coil health with an ohmmeter during PM rounds.
