0.2 kW servo drive with integrated STO and EtherCAT
The LXM18ESU02M2X is a Schneider Electric Easy Lexium 18 motion servo drive rated at 0.2 kW nominal power at 220-240 V single phase with an 8 kHz switching frequency. It delivers a continuous output current of 1.6 A at 8 kHz and a 3-second peak output current of 5.9 A, making it suitable for low-power positioning and speed-control axes in compact machinery. The drive integrates an EtherCAT communication interface and digital I/O, along with a Safe Torque Off (STO) safety function as standard. The STO function meets the requirements for safe machine stopping without a separate safety relay, simplifying the safety circuit design.
Supply, EMC, and environmental constraints
The drive accepts a single-phase supply voltage range of 170-255 V at 50/60 Hz ±5%, with a network frequency tolerance of 47.5-63 Hz. The line current draw is 2.7 A (205.04 % of rated) at 220-240 V, which should be factored into the branch circuit sizing. This variant ships without an integrated EMC filter, so an external filter is required for installations that must meet conducted emission limits. The operating ambient temperature range is -5 to 45 °C, and the altitude ceiling is 1000 m without derating.
Compact IP20 housing for panel integration
The drive is housed in a compact IP20 enclosure measuring 48 mm wide, 155.5 mm high, and 166.5 mm deep. The narrow 48 mm width allows dense side-by-side mounting on a DIN rail or panel, but the IP20 rating means the drive must be installed inside a cabinet with a higher overall enclosure rating.
