1 kW servo drive, EtherCAT, STO integrated
The LXM18ESU10M2X is a Schneider Electric Easy Lexium 18 motion servo drive rated 1 kW at 220...240 V single phase, 8 kHz switching frequency. It carries integrated STO (safe torque off) per the safety function spec, so the drive can be used in a safety-rated motion circuit without an external safety relay for the torque-off path.
Continuous output and peak current
Continuous output current is 7.6 A at 8 kHz; the 3-second peak is 22.8 A. That peak-to-continuous ratio (3:1) is typical for acceleration-heavy cycles like indexing or pick-and-place — the drive delivers the burst for the move, then settles back to the continuous rating for the rest of the cycle. Line current draw is 11 A at 220...240 V single phase (156.26 % of the nominal figure), so the supply branch circuit and upstream protection need to handle that inrush without nuisance tripping.
Communication and integration
The drive communicates via integrated EtherCAT and has onboard digital I/O — no separate fieldbus coupler required for basic motion control. The compact housing (78 mm wide, 155.5 mm high, 166.5 mm deep) fits a standard cabinet footprint; IP20 means it lives inside a panel, not on the machine frame. No EMC filter is built in, so an external filter must be added at the drive input to meet conducted-emission limits for the installation. The supply voltage window is 170...255 V single phase, 50/60 Hz (47.5...63 Hz network frequency), which covers most global single-phase mains.
