Compact servo drive for single-phase 200-240 V lines
The LXM18MESU04M2X is a 0.4 kW motion servo drive from Schneider Electric's Easy Lexium 18M family, designed for single-phase 200-240 V supplies with integrated EtherCAT communication and Safe Torque Off (STO). Rated at 0.4 kW at 200-240 V with an 8 kHz switching frequency, this drive delivers 2.8 A continuous output current, with a 3-second peak of 10.1 A — enough headroom for acceleration transients in indexing or pick-and-place applications. The 40 mm width and 170 mm height fit a standard compact enclosure footprint; the 150 mm depth leaves clearance for cabling and heat dissipation in a 200 mm deep cabinet.
EtherCAT motion bus and STO safety
EtherCAT is integrated directly on the drive — no external gateway module needed for cycle-synchronous position or velocity control. The drive ships without an internal EMC filter. For CE-marked installations, an external filter must be added between the line supply and the drive input to meet conducted emissions limits.
