Single-phase 0.75 kW servo drive with integrated EtherCAT
The Schneider Electric LXM18MESU07M2X is a motion servo drive from the Easy Lexium 18M range, rated 0.75 kW at 200-240 V single phase with a continuous output current of 5.5 A at 8 kHz switching frequency. It delivers a 3-second peak output current of 16.9 A for acceleration and deceleration transients, and draws 7.9 A line current from the single-phase supply.
EtherCAT integration and safety
EtherCAT is integrated on-board — no external communication module needed, which saves a slot and reduces wiring in the cabinet. The drive includes STO (Safe Torque Off) as standard, satisfying SIL 3 / PL e safety requirements for drive-integrated machine guarding without an external safety relay.
Supply and EMC considerations
Supply voltage limits are 180-264 V single phase at 50/60 Hz; the drive ships without an internal EMC filter, so an external filter is required for CE-marked installations in residential or light-industrial environments. The IP20 compact housing (174 mm deep, 50 mm wide, 170 mm high) mounts in a standard control cabinet — plan for clearance above and below for airflow, as the drive is fan-cooled and rated for 0-45 °C ambient at altitudes up to 1000 m.
