Panel fit and mechanical envelope
The LXM18MPDU04M2X: The drive measures 40 mm wide by 170 mm high by 150 mm deep — the 40 mm width lets it slot into a standard DIN-rail cabinet without hogging multiple mounting slots, but the 150 mm depth means the gland plate clearance needs checking before the panel layout is locked.
Power delivery and motor matching
Rated 0.4 kW at 200-240 V single-phase input with an 8 kHz switching frequency — this is the continuous power ceiling for a motor matched to the drive's 2.8 A continuous output current. The 3-second peak output of 10.1 A handles acceleration transients, but the continuous 2.8 A at 8 kHz is the number to size the motor against for sustained duty cycles — exceeding it trips the I²t foldback. Line current draw is 4 A at 200-240 V single phase — budget the upstream branch circuit protection for this plus a margin for the inrush charging the DC bus capacitors.
Communication and I/O for the controls integrator
The drive carries Modbus RTU over RS-485 as its fieldbus, plus integrated digital I/O, analog I/O, PTI (pulse train input), and PTO (pulse train output) — this covers position-indexing from a PLC master without an extra motion card, provided the master speaks Modbus. No built-in EMC filter — the drive ships without one, so a separate external filter is required at the line input to meet CE radiated-emission limits in a panel environment.
Environmental limits and compliance
CE marked; supply frequency tolerance is tight at 50/60 Hz ±5 %, with a wider network frequency window of 47.5-63 Hz — the drive tracks the line, but a generator set outside that band will cause a DC-bus undervoltage fault.
