What does this drive actually feed the motor?
The LXM18MPDU50N4X is the 5.0 kW frame inside the Easy Lexium 18 servo drive family — a compact-housing motion servo drive built for three-phase 380–440 V supplies with a -10…10 % tolerance window. Continuous output current is 16.5 A at the 8 kHz switching frequency, with a 3-second peak capability of 42 A for acceleration surges and trip-free torque headroom.
Mains side — what the panel has to deliver
Input is 12 A line current at 380…440 V three-phase, with a supply frequency of 50/60 Hz (±5 %) and a network-frequency window of 47.5…63 Hz; the supply-voltage limits run 342…484 V three-phase, so the drive tolerates the usual ±10 % swings seen on industrial feeders without tripping. No EMC filter is integrated — installations targeting EN 61800-3 Class A or Class B will need the external filter sized for the 12 A line current and the cable length to the motor.
Control plane — what talks to this drive
The control slice carries integrated Modbus, digital I/O, analog I/O, and PTI/PTO (pulse-train input / pulse-train output) on the same unit — so a retrofit replacing a stepper or analogue-commanded drive can wire into the PTI inputs without adding a fieldbus option card. The compact-housing format is rated IP20, so the drive is intended for installation inside a control cabinet or enclosure, not on the machine surface.
Mechanical envelope and ambient limits
Operating ambient is 0…45 °C with no derating stated; installation altitude is limited to 0…1000 m above sea level, above which the usual current derating per drive-class curve applies.
