Power stage and current delivery — 3 kW nominal, 30 A peak
The LXM52DD30C41000: Rated 3 kW nominal power with 5.6 kW continuous capability — the continuous output current is 10 A at the 8 kHz switching frequency, and the drive delivers 30 A for 3 seconds for acceleration transients. The 8 kHz carrier is the default; no derating curve is published for higher frequencies, so plan the PWM setting around the 10 A continuous ceiling. Supply voltage range is 208...480 V three-phase, -15 % / +10 %, at 50...60 Hz ±5 %.
SERCOS III motion bus and I/O complement
Integrated SERCOS III interface handles real-time motion control over a ring topology — no separate communication module needed. The drive carries 4 digital inputs, 2 touch probe inputs (for high-speed position capture), and 2 digital outputs, all at 24 V DC. The STO (Safe Torque Off) inputs have a contact-bounce filter >1 ms, so the safety circuit must hold the signal clean for at least that window.
Environmental and mechanical fit — IP20, 217 mm depth
IP20 protection — suitable for a clean, dry cabinet; no washdown rating. Operating ambient 0...50 °C, 5...95 % relative humidity non-condensing, with 3K3 environmental classification per IEC 60721-3-3. Shock resistance 100 m/s² and vibration 10 m/s² per the same standard. Dimensions are 8.5 in (217 mm) depth × 2.7 in (68 mm) width × 10.6 in (270 mm) height — a slim profile for multi-axis cabinet layouts. Power and motor connections use terminal blocks accepting 0.75...5.3 mm² (AWG 18...10) with a specified tightening torque of 6.02 lbf·in (0.68 N·m) on CN1 and CN10.
Standards and compliance documentation
Designed to IEC 61800-3 (EMC environment for adjustable-speed drives) and IEC 61800-5-1 (electrical safety for power drive systems). These are the core standards for CE marking and European machine directive compliance. The drive is a single-axis unit in the PacDrive 3 range, orderable as a standalone component.
