Panel fit and power delivery
The LXM62DD15G21000 is a single-axis servo drive from the PacDrive 3 family, sized at 44 mm wide by 310 mm high by 270 mm deep — a slim profile that fits standard 600 mm deep enclosures with room for gland plates and wiring ducts. Rated for 2.4 kW continuous power with a continuous output current of 5 A at 4 kHz switching frequency, and a 3-second peak of 15 A at 4 kHz — enough headroom to handle acceleration transients on a 2.4 kW servo motor without tripping. Supply voltage is 400 V three-phase (-10 to +10 %) or 230 V three-phase/single-phase, at 50/60 Hz ±5 %, so it works on both European 400 V line and North American 230 V installations without a transformer swap.
Safety and compliance for guarded zones
Hardware-based STO (safe torque off) is integrated, rated SIL 3 per IEC 61508 and PL e per ISO 13849-1 — this meets the highest safety integrity level for a drive, so it can be wired directly into a safety circuit without an external safety relay for the STO function. The drive carries approvals to CSA C22.2 No 14, UL 508C, IEC 61800-5-1, IEC 61800-5-2, and IEC 62061 — covering North American and European machinery safety standards for export or multi-site deployment. Pollution degree 2 per IEC 61800-5-2 means it's rated for normal factory-floor environments with only non-conductive dust — no special conformal coating needed for most panel installations.
Communication and I/O for multi-axis lines
Integrated SERCOS III interface handles real-time motion control over a ring or line topology — this is the standard for synchronized multi-axis systems in packaging, printing, and material handling, where cycle times under 1 ms per axis are expected. Two digital inputs, two touch-probe inputs, and two digital outputs at 24 V DC give enough local I/O for limit switches, home sensors, and fault feedback without an additional I/O module.
Environmental ratings for cabinet placement
IP20 protection means it's intended for clean, dry electrical enclosures — not for washdown or outdoor locations. Operating temperature range is 5 to 55 °C, with 5 to 85 % relative humidity non-condensing. Vibration resistance is 10 m/s² and shock resistance is 100 m/s² per IEC 60721-3-3, so it holds up on machines with moderate vibration like conveyors or packaging lines without additional damping mounts. Derate output current by 1 % per 100 m above 1000 m altitude — at a typical 2000 m installation, budget 10 % less continuous current than the 5 A rating.
