Continuous power and peak current — sizing the motor pair
The LXM62DU60G21000 delivers 0.95 kW continuous power and 2 A continuous output current at 4 kHz switching frequency, with a 3-second peak capability of 6 A at 4 kHz. That 3:1 peak-to-continuous ratio handles acceleration transients on a servo axis without oversizing the drive for steady-state load. Rated supply is 400 V three-phase (-10 to +10 %) or 230 V three-phase/single-phase, 50/60 Hz ±5 %. The drive accepts both three-phase and single-phase 230 V input, which simplifies commissioning on sites where only single-phase is available at the cabinet.
STO safety function and standards coverage
Integrated Safe Torque Off (STO) per IEC 61800-5-2, certified to SIL 3 (IEC 61508) and PLe (ISO 13849-1). This eliminates the need for an external safety relay on the drive's power stage for most guarding applications — the STO function removes torque-producing energy from the motor windings without disconnecting the mains supply. The drive also complies with UL 508C, CSA C22.2 No 14, IEC 61800-3 (EMC environment), and IEC 61800-5-1 (electrical safety).
SERCOS III fieldbus and I/O complement
Integrated SERCOS III communication interface provides deterministic, isochronous motion control over a ring topology — cycle times down to 31.25 µs are typical on this class of drive, which matters for coordinated multi-axis interpolation on a packaging or printing line. On-board I/O includes 2 digital inputs, 2 touch-probe inputs, and 2 digital outputs, all at 24 V DC. The touch-probe inputs capture position latches at hardware speed for registration mark or edge detection without CPU jitter.
Panel fit and environmental limits
Dimensions are 44 mm wide, 310 mm high, 270 mm deep — a slim profile that fits into a 45 mm-wide DIN-rail slot, leaving room for adjacent drives or a line reactor. IP20 rating means it is intended for enclosure mounting; the terminal blocks accept conductors from 0.2 mm² up to 16 mm² (AWG 24 to AWG 6) depending on the connector. Vibration resistance is 10 m/s², shock resistance 100 m/s² per IEC 60721-3-3 — sufficient for machine-mounted cabinets on packaging or material-handling equipment.
