The MGN25082 is a C60H miniature circuit-breaker from the Multi9 range, a single-pole thermal-magnetic unit rated 3 A at 50 °C with a D tripping curve. It breaks up to 15 kA at 240 V AC phase-to-neutral, tested to EN/IEC 60947-2.
D curve — why it matters for motor and transformer circuits
The D curve trips magnetically at 12 x In (±20 %), so for this 3 A unit the instantaneous trip threshold sits between roughly 28.8 A and 43.2 A. That wide magnetic window lets it ride through the inrush of small motors, transformers, or solenoid loads without nuisance tripping — a D curve is the usual choice for motor branch circuits or inductive loads where a C curve would drop out on start-up. The thermal element handles the overload protection; the magnetic element clears the short.
Snaps onto 35 mm symmetrical DIN rail, fixed mounting. At 18 mm wide (2 x 9 mm pitches), it occupies one standard module slot — easy to fit into a crowded enclosure without re-spacing adjacent breakers.
