Certified DC and AC fault interruption — MGN60629
The MGN60629 is a C60H miniature circuit breaker from the Multi9 range, configured as a 2-pole unit with a C-curve trip characteristic and a 25 A rated current at 50 °C, certified to EN/IEC 60947-2. Its headline breaking capacity reaches 30 kA Icu at 240 V AC phase-to-phase and 25 kA Icu at 125 V DC phase-to-phase, both conforming to EN/IEC 60947-2 — the DC rating is the figure that governs fit for battery-bank or DC-bus protection, not the AC number.
The 125 V DC rating at 25 kA Icu is the more restrictive figure — verify the DC source's prospective short-circuit current does not exceed 25 kA. The C-curve magnetic trip at 8.5 x In (±20 %) means the breaker holds through moderate inrush from motor or transformer loads but trips promptly on a hard short. At 240 V AC, Ics is 50 % of Icu (15 kA), still adequate for most secondary-distribution faults but a consideration if the breaker must clear repeated high-energy faults on the same installation.
The 2-pole body occupies 4 x 9 mm pitches (36 mm width) and a depth of 73 mm, leaving clearance for tunnel-type terminals accepting 1 to 25 mm² rigid or flexible conductors. The toggle provides local ON/OFF indication with a contact position indicator — no auxiliary contact needed for visual status.
