DC miniature circuit-breaker, 2 A curve K, 2 poles
The Schneider Electric MGN61876 is a Multi9 C60H-DC miniature circuit-breaker rated 2 A with a K trip curve, designed for DC networks. It protects 2 poles with a thermal-magnetic trip unit, magnetic tripping at 12 x In ±20% DC. Breaking capacity reaches 20 kA Icu at 220 V DC, 20 kA at 250 V DC, 10 kA at 440 V DC, and 6 kA at 500 V DC per EN/IEC 60947-2. The 2 A rating at 50°C means it handles continuous DC loads up to that current — sized for control circuits, signal supplies, or small DC distribution branches where a K curve's wider magnetic threshold avoids nuisance trips from inrush. Clip-on mounting to DIN rail, 36 mm width (4 x 9 mm pitches), 81 mm height, 73 mm depth. IP20 finger-safe front; IP40 inside the modular enclosure. Tightening torque 2.5 N·m. Padlockable for lockout/tagout. ON/OFF indication visible on the toggle.
DC selectivity and coordination
For a 2 A breaker, that's 24 A instantaneous trip. This suits loads with moderate inrush (DC motors, solenoids, capacitive inputs) where a B curve would nuisance-trip but a Z curve would be too slow. Rated insulation voltage 500 V DC; operational voltages include 220 V, 250 V, 440 V, and 500 V DC. Category A per EN/IEC 60947-2 — not intended for selectivity under short-circuit with downstream breakers, but suitable for standalone branch protection.
Panel integration
Snap onto DIN rail — 36 mm width occupies 4 module positions in a standard enclosure. Tunnel terminals with 14 mm strip length; wire range 1–25 mm² rigid stranded. Dual and triple-wire entries simplify daisy-chaining DC buses. Padlockable toggle for lockout compliance. IP20 front allows panel-mount without additional finger-duct covers.
