DC circuit protection with K-curve selectivity

The Schneider Electric MGN61878 is a Multi9 C60H-DC miniature circuit-breaker rated 4 A at 50 °C, with a K-curve magnetic trip at 12 x In ±20 % DC. It is a 2-pole DC-only breaker, with breaking capacity 20 kA Icu at 250 V DC per EN/IEC 60947-2.

Installation and wiring notes

Mounts via clip-on to DIN rail. Tunnel-type terminals accept 1…25 mm² rigid stranded (AWG 18…4) or 1…16 mm² flexible; strip 14 mm and torque to 2.5 N.m. The breaker is padlockable and provides ON/OFF indication via the toggle. IP20 on the terminals, IP40 on the modular enclosure — suitable for enclosed panel installation, not for washdown zones.

DC coordination and isolation

Rated insulation voltage 500 V DC; operational voltages include 250 V DC and 500 V DC. Thermal-magnetic trip technology with 3000 electrical cycles at L/R = 2 ms and 20000 mechanical cycles. No earth-leakage protection integrated — pair with an RCD if needed.
