The MGP0402L23 is a 2-pole PowerPacT 4 molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) from Schneider Electric, rated 40 A at 40 °C with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit providing LI protection (thermal overload and magnetic short-circuit).
That means after clearing a fault at its full rating, the breaker is still rated to carry and switch its full load current.
