The MGP0801L1 is a 1-pole molded case circuit breaker from the PowerPacT 4 range, rated 80 A at 40 °C with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit. It provides LI protection — thermal overload (L) and magnetic short-circuit (I) — and carries a 25 kA Icu/Ics at 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz. The 8 kV impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) and 750 V rated insulation voltage (Ui) give it solid clearance margins for panel distribution.
The 80 A rating at 40 °C is the continuous current the breaker carries without tripping in a 40 °C ambient — derate if your panel runs hotter. The 25 kA Icu at 230 V AC is the maximum fault current it can interrupt once and still be functional afterward; the Ics is the same 25 kA, meaning it can clear a fault and be immediately reclosed without inspection, which is unusual for a 1-pole MCCB at this level. The 8 kV Uimp covers most distribution-side surge environments without external SPD coordination.
Installation Notes
Panel-mounted via backplate, accepts horizontal or vertical orientation. It occupies a single 35 mm module width. The toggle control is manual — no shunt trip or undervoltage release built in.
