The MH30703P17F2200 is a 5000 rpm servo motor with an integrated holding brake, rated for 3.18 N.m nominal torque when paired with an LXM52 or LXM62 drive at 115 V three-phase — torque drops to 2.26 N.m at 480 V three-phase, so the voltage-dependent torque curve must match the drive voltage on the BOM. The brake holds 3 N.m static, and the motor carries a Multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — a 17-bit absolute feedback that eliminates the need for a home cycle on power-up, which saves time in applications like pick-and-place or gantry positioning where the axis position must be known immediately.
Torque derating and rotor inertia — sizing the axis
Continuous stall torque is 3.4 N.m across the 115–480 V range, and peak stall torque reaches 10.2 N.m — the motor can deliver 3× continuous torque for short acceleration bursts, but the drive's peak current limit (12.57 A,) must be set to avoid winding over-temperature. Maximum radial force at the shaft drops from 730 N at 1000 rpm to 400 N at 6000 rpm — if the application has a belt or gear drive that exerts side load, the bearing life calculation must use the radial force limit at the actual operating speed, not the static rating.
