The MH31002P16A2200 is a three-phase servo motor from the Schneider Electric MH3 series, rated for 4000 rpm nominal speed and 2270 W continuous power. The 5.67 N.m nominal torque at 115 V with an LXM52 drive is the sustained output for continuous-duty positioning; the peak stall torque of 18 N.m provides short-duration overload for acceleration and deceleration cycles. The single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder delivers absolute position feedback over one revolution without a battery backup — the integrator gets the position on power-up without a homing move, provided the application stays within a single turn. The 78 V/krpm back EMF constant means the drive's DC bus voltage must be sized to accommodate the voltage rise at top speed; at 4000 rpm the back EMF reaches 312 V line-to-line. The torque constant of 1.19 N.m/A at 120 °C copper winding temperature is the torque-per-amp figure after the winding has reached thermal equilibrium — the cold-start torque is slightly higher, but the continuous stall current of 5.04 A is the current the drive must supply for rated continuous torque at zero speed.
Mounting, cooling, and environmental sealing
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 100 mm flange size, a 19 mm shaft diameter with a parallel key, and a 40 mm shaft length. The centring collar diameter is 95 mm with a 3.5 mm depth — the mounting pilot registers the motor concentric to the load, and the 9 mm mounting holes accept standard metric bolts. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air is required, but the motor must be mounted with adequate clearance around the housing for airflow. The IP65 rating means the motor body is sealed against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, suitable for washdown environments in food processing or packaging lines. The electrical connection uses rotatable right-angled connectors, which allow the cable exit orientation to be adjusted on-site to fit the cable routing without additional junction boxes. The overall length of the motor is 160.6 mm, not including the shaft extension.
The motor is sourced through authorized distribution channels.
