Motor ratings and torque delivery across drive voltages
The MH31002P17A2200 is a three-phase servo motor delivering 2270 W continuous power at 4000 rpm nominal speed. Its nominal torque depends on the drive and supply voltage: 5.67 N.m with LXM52 or LXM62 at 115 V three-phase, dropping to 4.2 N.m at 480 V three-phase. That means the same motor frame can serve a range of line voltages, but the torque available at the shaft shifts — confirm the drive model and supply before locking the BOM. Peak stall torque reaches 18 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving headroom for acceleration and short-duration overloads. Continuous stall torque is 6 N.m, so the motor holds position at standstill without exceeding thermal limits.
Encoder feedback and environmental protection
The motor carries a multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — a standard for high-resolution absolute position feedback in servo drives. This encoder type supports single-cable solutions (Hybrid or HIPERFACE DSL) when paired with compatible Lexium drives, reducing wiring in multi-axis panels. IP65 standard protection means the motor body and connector interface resist dust ingress and low-pressure water jets. Suitable for washdown zones in food-and-bev or packaging lines, provided the mating cable connector also carries an IP65 rating.
