The MH31003P16A2200 delivers 3270 W continuous power and 8.45 Nm nominal torque when paired with an LXM52 or LXM62 drive at 115 V three-phase input — the torque figure drops to 6.25 Nm at 480 V three-phase, so the drive supply voltage directly sets the available shaft torque for the application. Peak stall torque reaches 27 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, giving headroom for acceleration transients and short-duration overloads without tripping the drive's current limit.
Single-turn SinCos Hiperface feedback
The encoder is a single-turn SinCos Hiperface type — this is a standard absolute feedback protocol used across Schneider's Lexium drive family. The single-turn resolution gives absolute position within one revolution; for multi-turn applications the drive must track the turns count or a multi-turn encoder variant is needed. The rotatable right-angled connectors allow the cable exit to be oriented in four positions on the motor body, which simplifies routing in tight cabinet layouts or on moving gantries where the cable must not snag.
IP65, natural convection, no holding brake
Cooling is by natural convection only — no forced-air fan, so the continuous torque rating assumes free airflow around the finned housing. Mounting the motor in a confined space or against a heat-radiating surface will require derating the continuous output. This variant ships without a holding brake. If the vertical axis or the load can back-drive the motor when power is removed, an external brake or a drive with a holding-brake output must be specified — the motor shaft will not hold position unpowered.
Rotor inertia and radial load limits
Maximum radial force at the shaft centre is 1050 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 610 N at 5000 rpm. Belt-driven or pulley-coupled loads must be checked against this curve — exceeding the radial limit at the operating speed will overload the front bearing and reduce motor life.
