Motor ratings and drive matching
The MH31401P17F2200: This is a three-phase servo motor with a nominal speed of 3500 rpm and 2640 W continuous power. The nominal torque depends on the drive voltage: 9.36 N.m at 115 V with an LXM52 drive, derating to 7.22 N.m at 400 V or 480 V with the same drive family. The holding brake delivers 18 N.m holding torque — enough to keep a vertical load stationary when power is removed, without an external mechanical brake on the ball screw. The multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides absolute position feedback over multiple rotations, so the controller knows the shaft position immediately on power-up — no homing sequence required.
Mounting and environmental fit
The motor flange size is 140 mm (5.5 in) with an international standard flange — mounts directly to standard gearboxes or machine frames without an adapter plate. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or compressed air required, but the motor must be mounted with free air circulation around the housing to stay within the 135 °C copper hot-spot temperature.
