Active production — 3.73 kW servo with holding brake
The MH31402P06F2200 is a current-production servo motor from Schneider Electric's MH3 series, rated for 3.73 kW continuous power at 400/480 V three-phase supply. It carries an integrated holding brake with 18 N.m holding torque and 18 W pull-in power, making it a drop-in spare for vertical-axis or gravity-loaded applications where the load must stay put when the drive is off.
The single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides absolute position within one revolution — no homing routine needed on power-up for rotary tables or single-turn axes. IP65 rating means the motor body withstands washdown; the rotatable right-angled connectors allow cable exit in tight enclosures.
Mounting and mechanical constraints — 140 mm flange, smooth shaft
The motor uses an international standard flange with a 140 mm pilot diameter and a 24 mm smooth shaft — no keyway, so the coupling must be clamped or use a shrink-fit hub. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 2240 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1550 N at 3000 rpm; belt-driven loads must stay within this envelope to avoid bearing fatigue. Natural convection cooling means no fan noise or filter maintenance, but the motor relies on the mounting surface for heat sinking — derate if panel-mounted in a confined space without airflow. The 10-pole design delivers rated torque down to low speeds without cogging.
