Motor ratings that govern the application
The MH31403P07A2200 is a three-phase servo motor from the MH3 series, delivering 4750 W continuous power with a continuous stall torque of 24 Nm across the 115...480 V range. The peak stall torque reaches 75 Nm, giving the drive headroom for acceleration transients. Maximum mechanical speed is 4000 rpm, with nominal torque rated at 22.17 Nm when paired with an LXM52 or LXM62 drive at 115 V three-phase input. The torque constant of 1.33 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature gives a direct conversion between current command and output torque.
Encoder, feedback, and shaft configuration
Fitted with a Multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this is a sine-cosine feedback interface with absolute multiturn position, standard for Schneider's Lexium drive family. The motor has a smooth shaft (no keyway) and no second shaft end, and it ships without a holding brake. Electrical connection uses rotatable right-angled connectors, which simplifies cable routing in tight cabinet layouts. The back EMF constant is 85.9 V/krpm, so the drive's DC bus voltage must support the generated voltage at top speed.
Mounting, cooling, and environmental rating
The motor mounts on an international standard flange with a 140 mm (5.5 in) flange size, four mounting holes on an 11 mm diameter, and a 130 mm centring collar. Overall length is 232 mm (9.1 in); the shaft diameter is 24 mm with a 50 mm shaft length. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan, so the thermal budget depends on the mounting surface and ambient airflow. The IP65 rating means the motor body is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets, suitable for washdown environments. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 2420 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 1670 N at 3000 rpm. This sets the allowable belt or coupling load before bearing life is compromised.
