The MH31403P12F2200: Cooling is natural convection, so the thermal model depends on free air movement around the finned housing. The Multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides absolute position feedback over multiple shaft revolutions without a battery backup — the multiturn count is retained magnetically. This eliminates the homing sequence on power-up for gantry axes or rotary tables, provided the drive supports Hiperface protocol. The holding brake delivers 23 N.m static holding torque and draws 19 W pull-in power; the brake release time and the motor's back-EMF constant of 85.9 V/krpm together set the deceleration ramp for a controlled stop on power loss. The shaft is a parallel key design, 24 mm diameter, 50 mm shaft length, with a 8 mm key width. The maximum radial force at the shaft end drops from 2420 N at 1000 rpm to 1670 N at 3000 rpm — belt-driven loads must be checked against this curve to avoid bearing overload at higher speeds.

Stator resistance is 0.22 Ohm and stator inductance is 3 mH — these feed the drive's auto-tuning routine for current-loop gains. The continuous stall current is 18 A, and the maximum RMS current is 62.32 A; the drive's continuous and peak current ratings must bracket these values. The torque constant is 1.33 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, which is the hot rating — expect slightly higher torque per amp at cold start.
