Frame size and mounting constraints
The SH30401P16F2000 uses a 40 mm flange (IEC standard) with four 4.5 mm mounting holes on a 30 mm centring collar, 2.5 mm deep. Overall length is 99.4 mm — this fits tight-axis envelopes where the motor projects into the machine frame. Shaft is 8 mm diameter by 25 mm long with a parallel key (3 mm key width). The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit orient in 90° increments, useful when the motor sits against a panel wall or beam.
Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
Nominal speed is 4000 rpm on single-phase 115 V or 230 V input, and 9000 rpm on three-phase 400 V or 480 V. The nominal torque sits at 0.176 N.m on single-phase supplies and rises slightly to 0.184 N.m on three-phase — the torque constant is 0.19 N.m/A at 120 °C hot copper. Peak stall torque reaches 0.75 N.m at 480 V three-phase, giving a 4× overload margin over the nominal torque for acceleration and short-duration moves. Continuous stall torque is 0.21 N.m at 1.12 A continuous stall current.
Brake sizing and vertical-axis holding
The brake is engaged when the motor is unpowered; the drive must release it before motion. No separate brake rectifier is needed — the motor cable carries the brake voltage from the drive.
Feedback and environmental sealing
Encoder is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface — the drive reads absolute position within one revolution at power-up, no homing sequence needed. The SinCos analog track gives fine interpolation for velocity ripple below 1 % at low speed. IP rating is IP54 at the shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring, and IP65 at the motor body and with the shaft seal fitted. Natural convection cooling — no fan, so the motor stays sealed for washdown environments.
