The SH30402P06F2000: This SH3-frame servo delivers 290 W continuous power and 0.4 N.m holding torque from the integrated brake. The holding brake is rated to keep the load stationary when power is removed — essential for vertical-axis applications where a dropped load is a safety or scrap event. Nominal torque ranges from 0.292 N.m on single-phase supply to 0.31 N.m on three-phase 400/480 V. Peak stall torque hits 1.5 N.m at 480 V three-phase, giving headroom for acceleration transients without oversizing the motor frame. The absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback on power-up without a homing cycle — a time-saver on multi-axis machines where lost position after a power cycle means re-referencing every axis.
Speed range and cooling — natural convection limits
Nominal speed is 4000 rpm on single-phase 115/230 V, and 9000 rpm on three-phase 400/480 V. Maximum mechanical speed is 9000 rpm — the winding and bearing set are built for that ceiling. Cooling is natural convection — no fan. That means the continuous torque rating assumes free airflow around the motor body. In a crowded cabinet or enclosed mounting, derate the continuous stall torque (0.39 N.m at 115...480 V three-phase,) or add forced air. IP54 on the shaft bushing without seal ring; IP65 on the motor body and with the shaft seal ring fitted. The IP65 rating holds up to washdown environments — food processing or packaging lines — provided the rotatable right-angled connector is properly mated.
Mounting and mechanical interface
40 mm international standard flange with four 4.5 mm mounting holes on a 30 mm centring collar at 2.5 mm depth. The 8 mm smooth shaft extends 25 mm. Overall length is 119.4 mm.
