Motor ratings that decide the drive match
The SH30551P02A2200: Peak stall torque hits 1.5 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and the continuous stall torque is 0.42 N·m at 0.73 A — the 2.9 A peak current (3 s rating) tells you the drive's current loop needs to supply that surge without tripping. The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder means no homing cycle on power-up — the drive reads the shaft position from the encoder's battery-backed multi-turn count. This saves a full minute per axis on every cold start.
IP65 and the washdown reality
IP65 on the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, with IP67 on the housing — the connector is a rotatable right-angled type, so the cable exit can be clocked to clear the machine frame. In a food or washdown zone, the smooth shaft means no keyway to trap debris, but you still need a shaft seal at the coupling end. Natural convection cooling — no fan, so the 290 W continuous power is the thermal limit at rated ambient. If the machine cycles hard, budget a duty-cycle derate or add forced air.
Mounting and mechanical fit
International standard flange, 55 mm square, with a 40 mm centring collar and 5.5 mm mounting holes on the bolt circle. The shaft is 9 mm diameter, 20 mm long, smooth — no key, so the coupling must be a clamp type with a setscrew over the flat or a friction grip. Overall length is 132.5 mm. The centring collar depth is 2 mm — that's the register depth into the mating flange, so the motor face sits flush against the machine plate.
