Active production — 290 W SH3 frame with Hiperface feedback
The SH30551P11A2100: Nominal speed depends on the supply voltage: 2000 rpm on 115 V single phase, 4000 rpm on 230 V single phase, and 6000 rpm on 400 V or 480 V three phase. The continuous stall torque is 0.42 Nm across the 115–480 V three-phase range, with a peak stall torque of 1.5 Nm.
Encoder, IP rating, and mechanical interface
Feedback is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — this gives position at power-up without a homing cycle, which matters on multi-axis lines where the controller expects a known rotor angle on enable. The motor carries an IP65 rating on both the housing and the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, so it handles washdown and airborne particulates common in packaging and food-grade cells. Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 55 mm square face and a 40 mm centring collar. The shaft is 9 mm diameter with a parallel key, 20 mm length. A rotatable right-angled connector exits the motor body — useful when cable routing has to clear adjacent axis hardware.
Thermal limits and force ratings
Cooling is natural convection — no external fan, so the continuous torque assumes free air movement around the flange. The torque constant is 0.58 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature; the back EMF constant is 40 V/krpm at 20 °C. Stator resistance is 41.8 Ω and inductance is 37.13 mH, which sets the electrical time constant the drive's current loop must handle. Maximum radial force at the shaft is 340 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 170 N at 8000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 40 N. These limits govern direct-coupling decisions — a belt drive or overhung load that exceeds the radial force at the operating speed will shorten bearing life.
