Three-phase servo motor with supply-dependent speed envelope
The SH30552P02A2100 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor rated for three-phase supply, delivering a nominal speed of 6000 rpm at 400 V or 480 V three-phase, 4000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, and 2000 rpm at 115 V single-phase. Continuous power is 530 W, with nominal output power ranging from 160 W (115 V single-phase) up to 670 W (480 V three-phase), so the usable torque-speed curve shifts with the available line voltage.
Encoder feedback and mechanical interface
An absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback — no homing sequence needed on power-up, which matters for applications where the axis position must be known immediately after a cycle or power loss. The shaft is smooth, 9 mm diameter by 20 mm length, with a 55 mm flange and 40 mm centring collar — coupling selection and motor mount alignment follow these dimensions. The rotatable right-angled connector lets the cable exit direction be adjusted in the field, useful when panel clearance is tight or the cable route changes during installation.
Torque capability and thermal limits
Peak stall torque is 2.5 Nm (22.1 lbf.in) across the 115–480 V three-phase range, while continuous stall torque is 0.71 Nm (6.28 lbf.in) — the motor can deliver roughly 3.5× rated torque briefly for acceleration, but the drive's current limit must be set to 4.8 A peak to stay within the winding's thermal capability.
Environmental sealing and bearing loads
Maximum radial force at the shaft drops from 370 N at 1000 rpm to 190 N at 8000 rpm — the bearing load capacity decreases with speed, so belt-drive or overhung-load applications must be checked against this curve.
