530 W SH3 servo with 55 mm flange — three-phase duty across the speed range
The SH30552P12A2100 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor delivering 530 W continuous power from a 55 mm international standard flange. It is a three-phase motor whose torque-speed envelope depends on the supply: nominal torque is 0.77 N·m at 2000 rpm on 115 V single phase, 0.75 N·m at 4000 rpm on 230 V single phase, and 0.63 N·m at 6000 rpm on 400 V or 480 V three phase. The motor is fitted with an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder — a single-turn and multi-turn position feedback that retains position through power cycles, eliminating the need for a homing routine on each power-up. This makes it a natural fit for axes where the controller must know the absolute position immediately after a restart.
IP65 enclosure and radial load limits by speed
Cooling is by natural convection, so the thermal budget depends on free airflow around the flange. The maximum permissible radial force drops with speed: 370 N at 1000 rpm, 290 N at 2000 rpm, 260 N at 3000 rpm, 230 N at 4000 rpm, 220 N at 5000 rpm, 200 N at 6000 rpm, and 190 N at 7000 and 8000 rpm. Maximum axial force is 40 N. These limits govern belt-drive or direct-coupling applications — exceeding them at the operating speed accelerates bearing wear. The shaft end carries a parallel key (key width 3 mm, shaft diameter 9 mm, shaft length 20 mm). The electrical connection is a rotatable right-angled connector, which helps route the cable in tight cabinet spaces.
