Speed-torque profile across supply voltages
The SH30553P01A1100: This SH3 frame motor delivers nominal speed that depends on the supply: 2000 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 4000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, and 6000 rpm at 400 V or 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque also shifts with voltage — 1.13 N·m at 115 V single-phase, 1.1 N·m at 230 V single-phase, and 0.81 N·m at 400 V or 480 V three-phase. The continuous power rating is 680 W, and peak stall torque reaches 3.5 N·m across the 115–480 V three-phase range.
Feedback and environmental sealing
The encoder is an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface type — this gives position feedback on power-up without a homing move, and the SinCos analog track provides fine interpolation for velocity ripple control. No holding brake on this variant, so the load must be held externally or by the drive's holding torque at standstill. IP65 rating per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and the shaft bushing means it handles washdown in food or beverage lines without needing a secondary cover. Natural convection cooling — no fan, so ambient temperature and duty cycle govern the thermal budget.
Mounting and mechanical interface
International standard flange, 55 mm flange size, with four mounting holes on a 5.5 mm diameter pattern and a 40 mm centring collar at 2 mm depth. The shaft is 9 mm diameter, 20 mm long, smooth (no keyway) — coupling selection must account for the smooth bore grip. Overall length is 176.5 mm. Maximum radial force at the shaft nose is 190 N at 8000 rpm, rising to 390 N at 1000 rpm — bearing life calculations should use the force at the operating speed, not the static maximum. Maximum axial force is 40 N.
Electrical parameters for drive tuning
Stator resistance is 10.4 Ω and stator inductance is 37.98 mH — these set the electrical time constant and influence the current regulator gains in the servo drive. Torque constant is 0.62 N·m/A at 120 °C copper temperature; back EMF constant is 41 V/krpm at 20 °C. Continuous stall current is 1.7 A, with a maximum RMS current of 6.5 A.
