55 mm flange servo with integrated holding brake
The SH30553P12F2100 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor with a 55 mm international standard flange and an integrated holding brake. It carries a parallel key shaft end with a 0.4 in (9 mm) diameter and 0.8 in (20 mm) shaft length, sized for direct coupling to ball screws or timing belt pulleys in compact axes. Rated IP65 on both the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, this motor handles washdown environments common in food processing or packaging lines without needing an additional cover.
Speed and torque across supply voltages
Nominal speed depends on the supply: 2000 rpm on 115 V single phase, 4000 rpm on 230 V single phase, and 6000 rpm on both 400 V and 480 V three-phase supplies. This lets the same motor frame serve different line voltages by swapping the drive parameters — useful for a machine builder shipping to multiple regions. Nominal torque also shifts with supply: 1.13 N.m at 115 V single phase, 1.1 N.m at 230 V single phase, and 0.81 N.m at both 400 V and 480 V three phase. The continuous stall torque is 1.05 N.m across the three-phase range, giving a steady hold without overheating. Peak stall torque reaches 3.5 N.m on three-phase supplies, enough for rapid acceleration through a pick cycle. The continuous power rating is 680 W, with nominal output power varying from 240 W on 115 V single phase up to 970 W on 480 V three phase.
Encoder feedback and brake for vertical axes
The absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder provides position feedback without needing a home cycle after power loss — critical for vertical axes where the load must not drift on restart. The holding brake delivers 0.8 N.m of holding torque, sized to keep a vertical load stationary when the drive is disabled.
