Frame size and mechanical integration
The SH30701P02F1000 uses a 70 mm (2.8 in) international standard flange with a 60 mm centring collar and 5.5 mm mounting holes — this is the IEC frame size that mates with the standard SH3 motor bracket. Overall length is 179.5 mm (7.07 in) with a 23 mm shaft extension, 11 mm shaft diameter, smooth shaft end — no keyway, so the coupling or pulley clamps onto the shaft directly.
Speed-torque envelope across supply voltages
Nominal speed depends on the supply: 1500 rpm at 115 V single phase, 3000 rpm at 230 V single phase, 6000 rpm at 400 V three phase, and 7200 rpm at 480 V three phase — the motor is wound for a wide voltage range but the drive must match the input configuration. Nominal torque is 1.4 N.m (12.4 lbf·in) on single-phase 115 V or 230 V, dropping to 1.1 N.m (9.7 lbf·in) on three-phase 400 V or 480 V — the torque constant is 0.69 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature. Continuous power output is 690 W; nominal output power varies from 220 W (115 V single phase) to 950 W (480 V three phase). Continuous stall torque is 1.25 N.m (11.06 lbf·in) on 115–480 V three phase — this is the torque the motor can hold indefinitely at standstill without overheating, limited by natural convection cooling.
Feedback, brake, and connection
The encoder is an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface type — this gives position feedback on power-up without a homing sequence, essential for applications that must retain position after a power cycle. Holding brake is included, rated at 3 N.m (26.6 lbf·in) holding torque — this holds the vertical axis load when power is removed, preventing the shaft from back-driving. Electrical connection options are a rotatable right-angled connector or a straight connector — both allow the cable exit to be oriented to fit tight cabinet layouts.
Environmental and mechanical limits
IP protection is IP54 at the shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring, and IP65 for the motor body and with the shaft bushing seal ring fitted — the IP65 rating means it withstands hose-down cleaning in food or washdown environments. Maximum radial force Fr is 660 N at 1000 rpm, derating to 360 N at 6000 rpm — the bearing load limit drops with speed. Maximum axial force Fa is 80 N. Copper hot temperature limit is 130 °C (266 °F) — the motor can run at this winding temperature without damage, but the torque constant and back EMF constant are specified at 120 °C and 20 °C respectively.
Electrical parameters for drive tuning
Stator resistance is 10.4 Ω and stator inductance is 60.25 mH — these feed into the drive's auto-tuning routine for current loop gains and field-weakening thresholds. Maximum continuous current Irms is 5.7 A; the 3-second peak output current is also 5.7 A — the motor's thermal limit is the same for peak and continuous, so the drive's current limit must be set at or below this value. Back EMF constant is 46 V/krpm at 20 °C — this sets the voltage the motor generates at speed; the drive's DC bus voltage must exceed this back EMF plus the voltage drop across the stator resistance to deliver current.
