690 W SH3 servo — Hiperface DSL feedback, no brake, smooth shaft
The SH30701P0AA4000 is an SH3-series servo motor from Schneider Electric delivering 690 W continuous power at 400/480 V three-phase supply, with nominal torque of 1.4 N.m at 230 V single-phase and 1.1 N.m at 400/480 V three-phase. This variant ships without a holding brake and with a smooth shaft, so it is intended for applications where the load holds position at rest (e.g., horizontal belt drives, rotary indexing tables) or where an external brake is fitted. For vertical-axis or safety-hold duty, specify the braked variant.
Speed-torque envelope by supply voltage
Nominal speed is voltage-dependent: 3000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 6000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm on 480 V three-phase. The torque constant is 0.69 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back-EMF constant is 46 V/krpm at 20 °C — both needed for drive tuning and velocity-loop gain calculations. Peak stall torque reaches 3.5 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, while continuous stall torque is 1.25 N.m at 1.8 A continuous stall current. The 5.7 A peak current sets the drive's current-loop headroom for acceleration and deceleration phases.
Mounting, cooling, and environmental sealing
The motor mounts to an international standard flange with a 70 mm flange size and 60 mm centring collar diameter, mating directly with common planetary gearboxes and linear actuators. The 11 mm smooth shaft with 23 mm shaft length accepts keyless clamping hubs or collet-style couplings. Cooling is natural convection — no external fan or forced air required, but the motor must be mounted with adequate free air space around the body to dissipate the 690 W thermal load. The IP65-rated motor body withstands washdown and dust ingress, though the shaft bushing drops to IP54 without the optional shaft seal ring, so a sealed interface is needed for food-and-bev or high-pressure washdown zones. Electrical connection uses a rotatable right-angled connector with quick-lock — the connector body can be oriented in 90° increments after installation, simplifying cable routing in tight cabinets or cable-track systems.
The sizing reference SH30701P and device short name SH3 are the family identifiers used in Schneider's selection software and drive-commissioning tools. No official successor or cross-reference is recorded; the SH3 series remains the current-generation compact servo line.
