690 W servo with Hiperface DSL — single-cable feedback
The SH30701P1AA3000 is a 690 W three-phase servo motor from the SH3 series, delivering 6000 rpm nominal at 400 V three-phase supply and 7200 rpm at 480 V three-phase. On single-phase 230 V input, nominal speed drops to 3000 rpm and output power to 370 W — the supply configuration directly sets the performance envelope. The absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL encoder eliminates a separate feedback cable — power and position data share one quicklock straight connector. This reduces cable cost and cabinet entry points, but the single-cable constraint means the drive must support Hiperface DSL protocol. No holding brake is fitted on this variant. The load must hold position without brake engagement, or an external brake must be added. For applications requiring a brake, order the braked variant of the SH3 frame.
Torque and inertia — sizing the acceleration profile
Continuous stall torque is 1.25 Nm across the 115-480 V three-phase range, with a continuous stall current of 1.8 A. Peak stall torque reaches 3.5 Nm — nearly 3× the continuous rating — for short-duration acceleration or deceleration events. Torque constant is 0.69 Nm/A at 120 °C copper temperature. The back EMF constant is 46 V/krpm at 20 °C — this sets the voltage ceiling at high speeds; at 6000 rpm the back EMF reaches 276 V, leaving headroom on a 400 V DC bus.
IP65 body, IP54 shaft bushing — washdown limits
The motor body is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, suitable for washdown environments. However, the shaft bushing without a shaft seal ring drops to IP54 — moisture can ingress along the shaft if directly sprayed. Adding an optional shaft seal ring restores IP65 at the bushing. Natural convection cooling means no fan or compressed air is required. The 690 W continuous rating assumes free airflow around the motor body; derating applies if mounted in a confined space or near heat sources. Maximum radial force is 730 N at 1000 rpm, and maximum axial force is 80 N. Belt-driven loads must respect these limits — overhung loads above these values risk bearing life.
Active production — sourcing and documentation
The motor mounts on an international standard flange with 70 mm pilot diameter and 5.5 mm mounting holes. The shaft is 11 mm diameter with a parallel key, 23 mm shaft length, and 4 mm key width — confirm coupling dimensions against these values.
