Speed vs voltage — what the numbers mean for your drive bus
The SH30701P1AA4000 delivers 3000 rpm nominal speed on a 230 V single-phase supply, 6000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm on 480 V three-phase — the top speed is a direct function of the DC bus voltage available from the drive. Nominal torque drops from 1.4 N.m at 230 V single phase to 1.1 N.m at both 400 V and 480 V three phase, so the torque-speed envelope shifts with the supply rail. Continuous power is 690 W, with the nominal output power matching that figure on three-phase supplies; on 230 V single phase it derates to 370 W.
Encoder feedback and mechanical fit
The absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL encoder gives position feedback over a digital serial link — no separate battery backup needed for position retention on power cycle, and the single cable carries both power and feedback. Motor flange size is 70 mm with a 60 mm centring collar and 2.5 mm collar depth, matching the standard IEC frame pattern for this power class. Shaft diameter is 11 mm with a parallel key and 23 mm shaft length — confirm the coupling bore and keyway dimensions before the build.
IP rating and connector — washdown-ready but watch the shaft seal
The motor body is IP65 per IEC 60034-5, so it handles hose-down and dust ingress in food or wet environments. The shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring drops to IP54 — if the application sees direct spray on the shaft exit, add the seal ring or shield the coupling area. Electrical connection is via a rotatable right-angle connector with quicklock — the connector orientation can be adjusted in 90° increments to route the cable cleanly in tight cabinets.
Torque capability — peak vs continuous
Maximum current Irms is 5.7 A, with the same figure for the 3 s peak output — the drive must be sized to supply this peak without dropping into current limit during acceleration or reversing moves. Stator resistance is 10.4 Ohm and inductance is 21.3 mH — the electrical time constant (L/R) is about 2 ms, which sets a lower bound on the current-loop bandwidth the drive can achieve.
