Motor envelope and flange fit
The SH30702P1AA4100 carries a 70 mm flange (IEC standard) with a 60 mm centring collar and 2.5 mm collar depth — this mates to the standard SH3 frame mounting pattern. Overall length is 187 mm, so it clears most close-coupled gearbox and actuator envelopes without a spacer. The shaft is 11 mm diameter with a parallel key, 23 mm engagement length, and a 4 mm keyway. This is a common metric shaft size for direct coupling to ball screws and timing-belt pulleys in the 1–2 N.m continuous torque range.
Speed and torque across supply voltages
Nominal speed is 3000 rpm on 230 V single-phase input, 6000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm on 480 V three-phase. The motor reaches its full rated speed only when the drive bus voltage matches the higher tap — a 230 V-only line limits top speed to 3000 rpm. Nominal torque is 2.1 N.m at 230 V single-phase and 1.8 N.m at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase. The continuous stall torque is 2.04 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, so the motor holds its low-speed torque capability regardless of the supply tap within that window. Peak stall torque is 7.6 N.m on three-phase supply — roughly 3.7× the continuous rating — which gives headroom for acceleration transients and short-duration overloads during indexing or pick-and-place moves.
Encoder and feedback — Hiperface DSL single-turn
The motor carries an absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL encoder. This is a digital serial-link feedback protocol that runs over a single cable pair (power + data) and reports absolute position within one revolution — no homing cycle needed on power-up for rotary axes that stay within a single turn. Hiperface DSL is compatible with Schneider's Lexium 28, 32, and 62 drive families and most third-party servo drives that support the DSL protocol. The straight connector on the motor body mates to a standard DSL cable assembly.
Environmental sealing and cooling
IP65 rating per IEC 60034-5 on both the motor body and the shaft bushing — the seal at the shaft exit is the wet-end barrier, not just the housing. Cooling is by natural convection — no external fan or forced air. The continuous power rating of 1130 W assumes free air circulation around the motor body; derating applies if the motor is enclosed or mounted in a crowded cabinet without airflow.
Electrical parameters for drive tuning
Stator resistance is 4.2 Ω and inductance is 10.65 mH — these set the electrical time constant and influence the current-loop tuning gains in the servo drive. The torque constant is 0.7 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, so the drive's peak current limit of 11.8 A maps to roughly 8.3 N.m theoretical peak torque before saturation. Back-EMF constant is 48 V/krpm at 20 °C — at 6000 rpm the motor generates 288 V line-to-line back-EMF, which must stay below the drive's DC bus voltage for proper current regulation at high speed.
