830 W servo with speed-torque flexibility across supply voltages
The SH30703M01A2000 is a Schneider Electric SH3 series servo motor delivering 830 W continuous power with nominal speed ranging from 750 rpm at 115 V single-phase up to 3600 rpm at 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque varies with the supply: 26.99 lbf.in (3.05 N.m) at 115 V single-phase, dropping to 23.28 lbf.in (2.63 N.m) at 400 V or 480 V three-phase. Peak stall torque reaches 100.01 lbf.in (11.3 N.m) across the 115...480 V three-phase range, giving short-duration overload headroom for acceleration events. This variant ships without a holding brake — specify a braked version if the application holds vertical loads at standstill.
Feedback, cooling, and mounting constraints
Feedback comes from an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — no need for a homing sequence on power-up, position is known immediately. The motor is cooled by natural convection, so no forced air or liquid cooling circuit is required in the cabinet design. Mounting uses an international standard flange with a 2.8 in (70 mm) flange size and 0.2 in (5 mm) key width on a smooth shaft of 0.6 in (14 mm) diameter and 1.2 in (30 mm) length. The centring collar is 2.4 in (60 mm) diameter with 0.10 in (2.5 mm) depth. Ingress protection is IP54 at the shaft bushing without the shaft seal ring, and IP65 for the motor body and shaft bushing with the seal ring fitted — suitable for washdown areas when the seal is installed.
Electrical parameters and thermal limits
Stator resistance is 10.7 Ohm with inductance 27.65 mH, giving an electrical time constant of about 2.6 ms — the current loop tunes around this. Maximum continuous stall current is 2.1 A, while the 3-second peak current is 8.7 A. Torque constant is 1.4 N.m/A at 248 °F (120 °C), and back EMF constant is 95 V/krpm at 68 °F (20 °C).
