Motor ratings and supply voltage dependence
The SH30703M01F2000: This SH3-frame servo motor delivers 830 W continuous power with a nominal torque that varies by supply: 3.05 N.m at 115 V single-phase, 2.95 N.m at 230 V single-phase, and 2.63 N.m at both 400 V three-phase and 480 V three-phase. The nominal speed also shifts with the line — 750 rpm at 115 V single-phase, 1500 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 3000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 3600 rpm at 480 V three-phase. That means the same motor body covers a wide range of line conditions, but the torque and speed you get depend on what voltage you feed it. Peak stall torque is 11.3 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range, and continuous stall torque sits at 2.94 N.m over the same range. The holding brake adds 3 N.m of holding torque — enough to keep the load stationary when power is removed, which is a common requirement for vertical-axis or conveyor stops.
Encoder, feedback, and shaft details
The motor carries an absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface encoder — that gives you position feedback on power-up without needing a home cycle, and the single-turn resolution covers one revolution. The shaft is smooth, 14 mm diameter, with a 30 mm shaft length and a 5 mm keyway. The flange is a 70 mm international standard with a 60 mm centring collar and 5.5 mm mounting holes.
Protection, cooling, and mechanical limits
The motor is rated IP54 at the shaft bushing without a shaft seal ring, and IP65 for the motor body and shaft bushing when fitted with the seal ring — both conforming to IEC 60034-5. That means it handles dust and splash in most industrial enclosures, but washdown environments need the seal ring. Cooling is natural convection — no fan, so the thermal budget depends on the mounting surface and ambient air. Maximum radial force (Fr) is 730 N at 1000 rpm, dropping to 400 N at 6000 rpm. Maximum axial force (Fa) is 80 N. These limits govern bearing life — overshoot them and you'll see premature wear. The motor is 254 mm long and uses a straight connector with a rotatable right-angled option.
