830 W continuous, three voltage families
The SH30703M12A2000 is an SH3-series servo motor from Schneider Electric, rated for 830 W continuous power. It delivers nominal torque from 23.28 lbf·in (2.63 N·m) on 400/480 V three-phase supply up to 26.99 lbf·in (3.05 N·m) on 115 V single-phase, with nominal speeds spanning 750 rpm (115 V single-phase) to 3600 rpm (480 V three-phase). The motor carries an absolute multiturn SinCos Hiperface encoder, giving position feedback without a homing cycle after power loss — a practical advantage on multi-axis lines where the controller needs to know the load position immediately on restart.
Mounting, shaft, and protection
Flange size is 70 mm (2.8 in) with a 60 mm centring collar and 2.5 mm collar depth, matching the standard IEC metric flange pattern. The shaft is 14 mm diameter with a parallel key, 30 mm shaft length, and 5 mm key width — a common fit for coupling to ball screws or timing-belt pulleys in packaging and material-handling builds. The IP rating depends on the shaft seal: IP54 at the shaft bushing without a seal ring, or IP65 with the seal ring fitted. The motor body itself is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, so in a washdown zone the shaft seal choice is what governs the wet-end barrier. Electrical connection options include a straight connector or a rotatable right-angled connector — useful when cable routing is tight against the machine frame.
Stall torque, peak current, and thermal limits
Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N·m (26.02 lbf·in) across the 115–480 V range, drawn at 2.1 A continuous stall current. Peak stall torque reaches 11.3 N·m (100.01 lbf·in) with an 8.7 A peak current for 3 seconds — this is the figure to size the drive's peak current capability against for acceleration moves. Cooling is natural convection only — no forced-air or liquid cooling. The hot-spot copper temperature is rated at 130 °C, so in a confined panel or high-ambient enclosure the duty cycle may need derating below the continuous torque figure.
