Speed range and supply matching
The SH30703P01F2100: This SH3 servo delivers 1500 rpm on 115 V single-phase, 3000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 6000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm on 480 V three-phase — the speed ceiling shifts with the input rail, so the drive supply must match the target spindle speed. Nominal torque drops from 2.95 N·m at 115 V single-phase to 2.1 N·m at 400 V or 480 V three-phase, meaning the motor can deliver higher torque at lower supply voltages but the continuous power output increases with voltage: 460 W at 115 V single-phase versus 1550 W at 480 V three-phase.
Brake and encoder for vertical-axis hold
Encoder is absolute single-turn SinCos Hiperface — no homing sequence on power-up for single-turn applications; the position is known immediately, which cuts cycle time on pick-and-place or indexing stations.
Thermal and mechanical limits for installation
Cooling is natural convection only — no fan, so the motor relies on the flange and ambient airflow for heat rejection. The copper winding hot-spot limit is 130 °C, and the torque constant is specified at 120 °C winding temperature, so sustained operation near peak torque requires a thermal margin check against the duty cycle. Maximum radial force drops from 730 N at 1000 rpm to 400 N at 6000 rpm — belt-driven or overhung loads must be sized against the speed-dependent curve, not the static rating. Axial force limit is 80 N.
No direct pin-compatible successor or replacement has been announced; the SH3 series is the current generation. For cross-reference verification, the sizing reference is SH30703P, and the motor flange size is 70 mm with an international standard flange mount.
