Motor ratings and speed range by supply voltage
The SH30703P0AF3100 is a three-phase SH3 series servo motor from Schneider Electric, delivering 1330 W continuous power at 400 V or 480 V three-phase supply, and 830 W at 230 V single-phase supply. Nominal speed reaches 3000 rpm on 230 V single-phase, 6000 rpm on 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm on 480 V three-phase. Nominal torque is 2.8 N.m at 230 V single-phase, and 2.1 N.m at both 400 V and 480 V three-phase. Holding torque from the integrated brake is 3 N.m, with a brake pull-in power of 7 W.
Encoder feedback and environmental sealing
The motor is fitted with an absolute single-turn Hiperface DSL encoder, providing position feedback over a digital serial link without additional encoder cable. This reduces wiring complexity and supports commissioning in applications requiring single-turn absolute position retention after power loss. IP65 protection applies to both the motor body and the shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5, making the unit suitable for washdown environments where coolant or light spray is present. The rotatable right-angled electrical connector and quicklock straight connector give flexibility in cable routing within a machine frame.
Mechanical interface and mounting constraints
The motor flange size is 70 mm (2.8 in) with a centring collar diameter of 60 mm (2.4 in) and a centring collar depth of 2.5 mm (0.10 in). Mounting hole diameter is 5.5 mm (0.2 in). The smooth shaft measures 14 mm (0.6 in) diameter with a 30 mm (1.2 in) shaft length. Overall motor length is 246 mm (9.7 in).
Electrical parameters and thermal limits
Stator resistance is 2.7 Ω and stator inductance is 14.6 mH. The torque constant is 0.72 N.m/A at 120 °C copper temperature, and the back EMF constant is 49 V/krpm at 20 °C. Continuous stall current is 4.1 A, with a maximum RMS current of 17 A. Peak stall torque reaches 11.3 N.m at 115–480 V three-phase. The motor is cooled by natural convection (no external fan), so duty cycle and mounting orientation must allow free airflow. Temperature class is 130 °C (266 °F) for the copper winding hot spot. Continuous stall torque is 2.94 N.m across the 115–480 V three-phase range.
