Motor frame and feedback — what fits the cell
The SH30703P0BA3100 is a 70 mm flange servo from the SH3 family, with a smooth shaft (14 mm diameter, 30 mm length) and an international standard flange that bolts directly to common gearbox and linear-motor interfaces. Feedback is an absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder — single-cable digital protocol that carries position, velocity, and temperature data over the same pair as the motor power, reducing cable count and simplifying the cable track in a moving axis. The electrical connection offers two options: a rotatable right-angled connector or a quicklock straight connector, letting the cable exit adapt to tight enclosure clearances or cable-track orientation.
Torque, speed, and supply-voltage dependency
Nominal speed and torque shift with the supply: 3000 rpm at 230 V single-phase, 6000 rpm at 400 V three-phase, and 7200 rpm at 480 V three-phase — the motor is wound for a wide voltage range, but the drive must match the line voltage to hit the rated speed. Nominal torque is 2.8 N·m (24.8 lbf·in) at 230 V single-phase, dropping to 2.1 N·m (18.6 lbf·in) at 400/480 V three-phase; continuous power is 830 W on single-phase and 1330 W on three-phase, so the three-phase connection delivers the full continuous output. Peak stall torque reaches 11.3 N·m (100 lbf·in) on 115–480 V three-phase, with a continuous stall torque of 2.94 N·m at 4.1 A — the 3.8× peak-to-continuous ratio gives headroom for acceleration and short-duration overloads. Maximum mechanical speed is 8000 rpm, well above the nominal range, so the motor can overspeed for fast return moves if the drive and load inertia allow.
IP65 sealing and thermal profile — washdown-ready, naturally cooled
IP65 protection on both the motor body and shaft bushing per IEC 60034-5 means the motor withstands hose-down cleaning and airborne dust — suitable for food processing, washdown zones, or outdoor cabinet installations. Cooling is natural convection — no fan or external blower, so the motor relies on its own surface area and mounting flange for heat rejection; the continuous torque rating assumes free airflow around the frame. The stator resistance is 2.7 Ω and inductance 14.6 mH — these values set the electrical time constant and influence the drive's current-loop tuning parameters.
