The SH30703P0BF4000 is a three-phase servo motor from the SH3 family, built for the Lexium 32 drive series. The nominal speed and torque both shift with the supply voltage — at 400 V three-phase it delivers 6000 rpm and 2.1 N.m continuous torque; at 480 V three-phase it reaches 7200 rpm with the same 2.1 N.m torque. On a 230 V single-phase supply the nominal speed drops to 3000 rpm and torque rises to 2.8 N.m, so the motor can run on a lower-voltage line but the axis speed ceiling is lower. Continuous power is 1330 W at 400/480 V three-phase, and the peak stall torque of 11.3 N.m gives the axis short-term acceleration headroom above the 2.94 N.m continuous stall torque. The holding brake locks the load at 3 N.m when power is off — enough to hold a vertical axis or a stopped conveyor section without a separate mechanical brake.
Encoder and feedback — single-cable architecture
The absolute multiturn Hiperface DSL encoder sends position and commutation data over the same cable as motor power — no separate encoder cable needed. That simplifies the cable track and reduces the number of connector pins at the drive end. The rotatable right-angled connector with quicklock lets the cable exit point be oriented in the field, which helps when the motor is mounted in a tight corner of the machine frame. The motor flange is 70 mm (IEC standard), the shaft is smooth at 14 mm diameter with a 30 mm shaft length. A smooth shaft means the coupling or pulley must use a clamping hub or shrink disc — no keyway to transmit torque. The centring collar depth is 2.5 mm, so the pilot register is shallow; confirm the mating gearbox or load has a matching pilot bore depth.
Environmental sealing and cooling
The motor body is rated IP65 per IEC 60034-5, which means it handles washdown spray from any direction. The shaft bushing without the optional shaft seal ring drops to IP54 — if the motor is in a wet zone (food processing, washdown), fit the shaft seal ring to keep the IP65 rating at the shaft exit. Cooling is natural convection, so no external fan or forced air is needed; the motor relies on its own surface area and the machine frame to shed heat.
The motor ships with the rotatable connector and the holding brake pre-installed. The package quantity is one unit. What ships in the carton is the motor with the brake and the connector — no separate gearbox, drive, or cable is included. The kit is complete for the motor itself; the mating drive (Lexium 32) and the motor cable are ordered separately.
